This boy… My nephew.
The portraits I took of him in my studio for his 3rd birthday just completely sum up his personality. I originally wasn’t going to take photos of him with his goldfish. But he was just so darn cute roaming around the house with his bag of fish ( I was setting up for his cake smash anyway) That I just had to snap a few photos of him and his beloved fish.
Those of you who know me, know that my family moved to North Carolina a few years ago. I miss them tons! They came back to sunny San Diego to visit in March, shortly after my son Ellison was born. I really wanted to photograph my nephews 3rd birthday photos and thought it would be fun to do a N.C fishing themed cake smash. After I ordered my very specific custom cake from Simply sifted, everything else just kind of fell into place. I don’t usually use a ton of props for my cake smashes, but once I started putting this one together, I just couldn’t stop.
